THE INNOVATION    The cooling system that is characterized by its remarkable thermal conductivity properties.

HOW IT WORKS Overheating or inefficient heat management in all lighting systems results in the gradual lowering of light output, often leading to premature failure. SLS managed to overcome this problem with its innovative aluminum 6063 heat sink that  offers extra convection by airflow through the holes. The LED chip is attached to the Heat Sink (A) and the power supplies are spaced (B) away from it, therefore the operating temperature of the LED chips remains low. SLS is one of the few companies worldwide producing lighting systems using aluminum alloy of high thermal conductivity that is mechanically processed and anodized.

RESULT The innovation is a solution to the problem of overheating in luminaires. SLS lighting systems are designed so that the Heat Sink, apart from serving as a cooling mechanism, is the support base and the housing of the luminaire. The innovative cooling system is made of aluminum alloy with a high thermal conductivity, achieving optimal heat dissipation. This results in stable performance, long operating time and unsurpassed durability.

AWARDSAs a recognition of its innovation, SLS has received the Award of Innovative Industrial Product in the "Made In Greece Awards", as well as the "Manufacturing Excellence Award".
